Kai noted: "[M]y relationship with my Higher Self is more bleak than folks would expect, so I'm having to translate the comfort I get from the temporary nature of everything into something other folks would get..."

The topic: Your Higher Self and its role in your life

White:

"Hello! Let's talk about the choices that bring you closer to your True Self."

Kai: "Hello!"

White:

"If your life was free of suffering aside from boredom, do you think you could reach your true potential?"

Kai: "Well, if we're talking about my Higher Self, their main form of suffering IS boredom. As for my meat self here, yes - I think if I had my basic needs taken care of and was able to properly take care of my meat suit, I'd have more ability to tap into my Hugher Self with less restriction."

White:

"If your fortunes were suddenly reversed, would your Higher Self advise waiting patiently or changing?"

Kai: "We'd probably have a strategy meeting and figure out how best to move forward, because patience has been the MO for the last long while."

White:

"When you can't see the way ahead clearly and you've got to go it alone, how does your Higher Self light the way?"

Kai: "Usually by throwing things in my path to remind me I'm not alone in the here and now, as well as the reassurance that all things are temporary, to a degree - sometimes you just have to wait a bit for things to change in your favor. Being able to ebb and flow with the tide of things has made a lot of my problems seem much less insurmountable."

White:

"How does your Higher Self guide you to turn your hopes into your legacy?"

Kai: "I'm having difficulty answering this question, mainly because I don't know that 'legacy' is the right word for it. I don't expect to be remembered for the things I hope for and hope to achieve. Through my work with my Higher Self I've been recognizing more and more that what I have to give in this life is something that everyone deserves - to be heard, to feel comfort, to have space. That is not something I need to be remembered for ; that is something I am here to do and hope to pass on so that the space keeps growing."

Alleywitch: "Given the card in question (10 of Pentacles), this could also be what your family will inherit from you."

Kai: "Well, my answer above still stands, but I'll add to it that I hope they inherit the ability to create, the ability to hold, and the ability to recognize their inherent worth in their existence."

White:

"How does your higher self help you triumph in the battle against injustice?"

Kai: "The straightforward answer to that is the reminder that 'There is no triumph in the battle against injustice, as there is always someone suffering at the hands of your benefit.'

"Now, that's not to say that we should turn a blind eye to others' suffering, or that we shouldn't do what we can to make things as equitable as possible, but having such a wide perspective of things makes it hard to say what is or isn't justice. We wouldn't say that an insect is evil for eating a smaller one, or that an asteroid is wvil for colliding with a planet. While injustice is inherently cruel when it comes to social dynamics, cruelty, unfortunately, also has its place in the grand scheme. There will always be cruelty woven into the fabric of our existence, but it is what we do in the face of it that determines how we move forward."

White:

"Best of wishes on your journey!"

Kai: 🤣
